The 11-day Vijayawada Book Festival to Begin from February 9

The 11-day Vijayawada Book Festival

On February 9, Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan will inaugurate the 33rd Vijayawada Book Festival, which is organized by the Vijayawada Book Festival Society (VBFS).

The festival brochure was published on Tuesday by VBFS honorary president Bellapu Babji, president T. Manohar Naidu, secretary K. Lakshmiah, and director of Emesco Books D. Vijay Kumar, among others.

According to Mr. Babji, the Governor and Minister, Botcha Satyanarayana will inaugurate the book festival on February 9 at 6 p.m. on the premises of the Govt. Polytechnic College.

He added that other participants at the inaugural ceremony include author and politician Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, A.P. Official Language Commission Chairman P. Vijay Babu, and others.

He announced that the book festival would be open to the general public daily from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. until February 19 and that numerous Telugu and English publishers and organizations, such as Emesco Books, Visalandra Publishing House, Prakasakthi, Ramakrishna Matam, Hyderabad Book Trust, Lokayukta, Janachetana, Analpa, Himalaya Publishing House, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, AP.

During the book festival, literary events, such as book releases, anniversaries of notable writers and publishers, and cultural and educational activities, would take place concurrently at two distinct daises.

The main dais where literary events will be held is dedicated to Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, an acclaimed writer and performer, in honor of his contribution to literature and language. The book festival enclosure is named after Ravikrindi Ramaswamy of Vikram Publishers.
